    Q. How would you handle a customer that is relocating from another state?
    A.
    General Building Contractors and  Consultants work closely with the customer via phone & email.

    Q. Where are you currently building?
    A.
    Contact the office closest to where you will be building and they should know of some homes under construction for you to visit.

    Q. How long does it take to build.
    A.
    It depends. There are so many variables involved in build out time, we cannot give you an absolute answer to this question. Some of the variables include (1) the community in which you are planning to build, (2) the size and type of home you are planning to build, (3) the extent of site improvements needed, such as clearing, well, septic tank, etc.., and (4) weather conditions occurring while your home is under construction and your Contractors etc.. Our goal is to start your home within 30 days from your construction loan closing and finish it as soon as possible.

    Q. What is the framing time?
    A.
    It usually only takes about 4 to 5 days or depends on the General Contractors.

    Q. Is the home totally finished (turn key)?
    A.
    Yes.

    Q. Is partial finish an option (exterior only)?
    A.
    Yes, shell homes are optional.

    Q. Can I do any of the work?
    A.
    Yes. You should speak to one of our General Building Contractors so they can answer any specific questions about the type of work you want to do.

    Q. Can a home owner build their own home?
    A.
    Yes, but it's not recommended.

    Q. How is the perimeter of the first floor of a house determined?
    A.
    It corresponds to the floor plan.

    Q. Do you build on a slab or crawl space?
    A.
    Generally we build on a crawl space but in Florida and parts of Mississippi we do build on a slab.

    Q. Do you build on a basement?
    A.
    Yes,  For exact cost in your area, please speak to one of our helpful Contractors.

    Q. How wide are floor joists?
    A.
    You would need to speak to one of our Building Consultants regarding floor joist spacing.

    Q. What is stud spacing?
    A.
    You would need to speak to the General Contractors regarding stud spacing. It may vary depending on options, area, etc.

    Q. How far do you space the deck boards?
    A.
    You would need to speak to one of our Contractors regarding the spacing of deck boards. There are new material options on your deck boards that you may be interested in.

    Q. Do you offer a warranty? If so, how long?
    A.
    One year unconditional warranty, beyond that some things have extended warranties.

    Q. Do you do landscaping?
    A.
    We don't include that in the base price but it could be included in the loan.

    Q. Are you insured (bonded)?
    A.
    We are insured, all subcontractors carry policies for workman's comp.

    Q. Do you do construction site cleanup?
    A.
    We do that in consolation with the owner.

    Q. What are the land prep requirements?
    A.
    NO ANSWER FOUND.

    Q. Will there be condensation in the basement?
    A.
    Our basements are guaranteed water proof.

    Q. What is the roof pitch? Can I change it?
    A.
    Yes, we can change the pitch for you. We have an in-house architectural design staff.


    Q. What is the difference between block and form structure?
    A.
    Poured or block, poured is our standard.

    Q. Do you obtain the certificate of occupancy or will I have to do that?
    A.
    You will need to speak to one of our Building Consultants for the answer to that question.
